Valley View History

Valley View Elementary is nestled in a quiet suburban community located in the middle of Roy, Utah. It serves students in grades Kindergarten through 6th. It currently has an enrollment of 500 students and 25 teachers. Valley View's mascot is the Viking and the school colors are purple, white and grey. Valley View is currently a Title I school which provides all day Kindergarten and a full time counselor at the school.

Valley View Elementary was built in 1964, and was designed as an open concept building. The building was separated into 6 pods each of which have 3 classrooms which were not separated by walls or partitions. In the late 80's, the pods had accordion curtains installed that were used to separate the classrooms. Within the last 10 years, the school has undergone renovations which include a new computer lab, a new library and the accordion curtains were replaced with walls and storage units. The carpet has all been recently replaced and the walls have been freshly painted.
